Steve Wright

My official title in this world is "Organizing Pastor" of Village Presbyterian Church in Ladera Ranch. But above that role I would describe myself as a husband and a father. Joy and I have been married since 1988 and we have three children: Matthew (15), Andrew (13) and, daughter, Mackenzie (8).

I grew up here in Orange County and received a degree in Speech Communication from California State University, Long Beach (B.A., 1987). I went on to study at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena (M. Div., 1996) and most recently to Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia to concentrate on issues related to the missional church (D. Min., 2006).

I love the community and the people we have been called to serve in Ladera Ranch and beyond (including Coto, MV, RSM, SJC and all the other letter combinations) and I continue to dream about and to work toward fulfulling the call God has for this New Church Development called Village Presbyterian Church (est. July 20, 2003).
